Well since I have to be easy on my foot for now, I have decided to focus on a challenge to help with a few other areas of my health: Drinking Water.
I don’t drink near enough. I don’t think I ever have. This should be a lot easier for me since water is almost always my preferred drink; I don’t drink a lot of soda or juice, I don’t particularly like milk, and I really only drink alcohol socially and I don’t drink much at that. My standard go to is almost always water. But I take a few sips and I am done.
According to my doctor, the general rule is that you should take your weight, cut it in half and that is amount of ounces you should drink each day. So let’s do that math on that:
Last weigh in: 278.2
So let’s just round that down to 278. In half that’s….hold on let me get a calculator….139? That can’t be right! Yeah….that’s right.
Ok so that might be a lot to take in all at once and you can get sick off too much water. So here is what I am going to do: step goals!
This week I will commit to 96 oz. I have a 24 oz water bottle, so that is 4 bottles. Then next week we will bump it up to 5 bottles or 120 oz, and in week 3 we will move to 6 bottles or 144 oz which will put me past that 139 mark. 21 days to change and start the habit! Perfect timing.
Join me! Make your body happy with a little water too! And let me know how it goes.
